At AK Innovations, we strive to provide high-quality 3D printing and additive manufacturing services. We understand that sometimes products may not meet your expectations, and we want to ensure your satisfaction. This Return Policy outlines the terms and conditions for returns, exchanges, and refunds for our services and products.
Due to the custom nature of our 3D printing services, certain restrictions apply to returns and refunds. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.
General Return Policy
We offer a 14-day return window from the date of delivery for most products and services. However, due to the custom nature of 3D printing, some items may not be eligible for return.
Eligible for Returns
The following items may be eligible for return:
- Defective Products: Items with manufacturing defects or quality issues
- Wrong Items: Products that differ from what was ordered
- Damaged in Transit: Items damaged during shipping (must be reported within 48 hours of delivery)
- Standard Products: Non-custom items from our product catalog
Not Eligible for Returns
The following items are generally not eligible for return:
- Custom 3D Printed Items: Products designed and printed specifically for your requirements
- Digital Files: 3D models, designs, or digital downloads
- Used or Damaged Items: Products that show signs of use, wear, or damage caused by the customer
- Personalized Items: Products with custom engraving, text, or personalization
- Prototype Services: One-off prototypes or development samples
- Consultation Services: Design consultation, technical support, or advisory services
Return Process
Step 1: Contact Us
Before returning any item, please contact us within 14 days of delivery to initiate the return process. You can reach us at:

Step 2: Provide Information
When contacting us, please provide:
- Order number and date of purchase
- Description of the issue or reason for return
- Clear photos of any defects or damage
- Your preferred resolution (refund, exchange, or repair)
Step 3: Return Authorization
If your return is approved, we will provide you with a Return Authorization Number (RAN) and shipping instructions. Returns without a valid RAN will not be accepted.
Step 4: Ship the Item
Package the item securely and include the RAN on the outside of the package. You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (wrong item, defective product, or damage in transit).
Refund Policy
Refund Processing
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will process your refund within 5-7 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
Refund Amounts
The refund amount will include:
- Full purchase price for defective or wrong items
- Original shipping costs if the return is due to our error
- Partial refunds may apply for items returned in used condition
Note: Return shipping costs are not refunded unless the return is due to our error.
Exchanges and Repairs
For eligible items, we offer the following alternatives to returns:
- Exchanges: Replace defective items with the same product
- Repairs: Fix minor issues when possible
- Store Credit: Credit toward future purchases
Custom 3D Printing Services
Due to the custom nature of 3D printing services, the following policies apply:
- Design Approval: Once you approve a design or prototype, changes may incur additional charges
- Material Selection: We cannot accept returns due to material choice after production begins
- Quality Issues: We will reprint items with manufacturing defects at no additional cost
- Specification Changes: Changes to specifications after production starts may require additional payment
Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive a damaged or defective item:
- Document the damage with clear photos
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
- Do not attempt to repair or modify the item
- We will provide a prepaid return label for our errors
- We will replace or refund the item at no cost to you
Shipping and Handling
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, except in cases where the return is due to our error (wrong item, defective product, or damage in transit). We recommend using a trackable shipping method and purchasing insurance for valuable items.
International Returns
For international orders, return shipping costs and customs duties are the responsibility of the customer. Please ensure all customs documentation is properly completed for return shipments.
